Job summary

Serco Group is hiring a Shift Operator to support real-time operation of satellite ground and communications systems for the Space Force. You will configure Ground Station equipment, maintain daily operations, and work toward certification on key systems.

Training and mentoring are provided to help you progress within the Space division. You will also ensure security, complete shift documentation, and support safety on site while developing your technical and operational skills in a challenging

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) required
• Strong PC literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in an electrical or electronic engineering environment preferred
• Willingness to complete A+ certification and obtain SC (Security Check) clearance
• Full driving licence and readiness to drive company vehicles
• Willingness to become a rescue climber

Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain certification on specific equipment and systems.

What you’ll do as a Shift Operator

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Configure and operate Ground Station equipment in real time.
• Maintain routine daily operations within the Communications area.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
