Job summary

Responsibilities

• Own the patient journey from referral to surgery, coordinating each stage of the pathway.
• Develop specialist ophthalmology knowledge to provide a focused administrative service.
• Monitor pathways, anticipate delays and resolve barriers for timely treatment.
• Lead, motivate and empower the administrative team to deliver outstanding service.
• Drive service improvement using performance data and pathway monitoring.
• Champion an exceptional patient experience with clear information and compassionate support.
• Take ownership of complex enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Build strong multidisciplinary relationships with clinical and operational teams.
• Ensure patient pathways meet NHS targets and Trust policies.
• Support continuity across Ophthalmology Scheduling and the Laser Vision Service when required.
