Job summary

CHEC is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join our ophthalmic theatres in Stoke-on-Trent, with occasional travel to Macclesfield. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours over 4 days per week, including some weekends. Shifts are 07:30 to 17:30 with flexibility to meet patient needs.

You will scrub and assist in a high-volume theatre environment, supporting the multidisciplinary team. You will deliver patient-centred care across the pathway from pre-admission to post-operative recovery, and will have

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC or HCPC.
• Experience in a clinical/theatre setting preferred.
• Willingness to travel within CHEC sites for training.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist surgeons in high-volume ophthalmic theatre.
• Prepare clinical areas and manage admissions on theatre days.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Support service improvement and maintain infection prevention standards.
• Ensure patient-centred care throughout pre-admission to post-operative recovery.
