Job summary

Optegra Eye Healthcare is seeking an experienced scrub nurse to join our dedicated team in the ophthalmic surgical pathway. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, with involvement in peri-operative and post-operative care as required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or ODP with valid registration.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or perioperative care.
• One year or more ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.
• Proficient computer and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a full range of duties as part of the ophthalmic surgical pathway.
• Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance within the operating theatre team.
• Support peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical suite.
• Ensure documentation for traceability is completed accurately.

Education

Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner

Current NMC/ODP registration

Qualification in Ophthalmology or Perioperative care
