Optegra is seeking an ophthalmic theatre scrub nurse to support the operating theatre team across the ophthalmic surgical pathway. The role includes skilled clinical and technical support during surgery, plus peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite, with some involvement in minor operations.

Flexibility may be required for shifts at other Optegra sites. Applicants should hold current NMC or ODP registration with no restrictions and have at least one year of

Competenze

• Registered General Nurse or ODP with ophthalmic theatre experience.
• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills for documentation.
• Familiarity with NMC Code of Conduct and peri-operative care.

Mansioni

• Assist the operating theatre team across the ophthalmic surgical pathway.
• Provide clinical and technical assistance during surgery.
• Deliver peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suite.
• Assist with minor operations and equipment handling.
• Prepare, plan and evaluate patient care with supervision from the practitioner in charge.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity under policy; report issues to senior staff.
• Anticipate instrument and equipment needs for procedures.
• Ensure proper disposal and decontamination of equipment; keep traceability records.
