Optegra Eye Health Care is seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse to join our dedicated team in the ophthalmic surgical pathway. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as part of the operating theatre team, with potential peri-operative and post-operative care in the surgical and refractive suites.

You’ll contribute to providing excellent patient care, support the surgical team, and participate in minor operations where needed.

Qualifikationen

• Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner required.
• Current NMC/ODP registration with no restrictions.
• Qualification in Ophthalmology or Perioperative care.
• One year or more ophthalmology surgical theatre experience.
• Computer and IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Awareness of responsibilities under NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
• Awareness of CQC standards and requirements.

Aufgaben

• Carries out a full range of registered health care professional duties, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s condition and care with support from the Practitioner in charge.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by providing appropriate surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is disposed of correctly including decontamination and sterilisation of reusable equipment.
• Ensure all documentation for traceability is effectively completed.
