Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking a dedicated Theatre Nurse with scrub expertise to join our NHS Trust team in Doncaster. You will prepare theatres, assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures, monitor anaesthesia and patient vitals, and provide pre- and post-operative care.

The role offers flexible shifts (FT/PT), access to a consultant, and a £500 Refer a Friend bonus to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN with valid NMC pin.
• Specialised ophthalmic nursing training/certification.
• Experience in scrub, recovery or anaesthetic roles in theatre.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and anaesthesia techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating theatre and ensure sterile equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during ophthalmic procedures.
• Administer anaesthesia and monitor vitals during surgery.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and share information with the team.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols.
