Tradebe in Swindon is seeking a Plant Operator to contribute to safe, efficient operation of the plant. The role covers loading, unloading, and daily plant checks within a 4-on/4-off shift pattern (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am).

You will work with a focus on safety, load management, and collaboration across teams to ensure compliance with site procedures. Competitive salary with quarterly bonus is offered.

Formación

• FLT licence or equivalent preferred.
• PC literate with basic software skills.
• Experience in industrial plant operations helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain loading rates and operate plant equipment safely.
• Assist loading/unloading of vehicles and manage turnaround times.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance per site plans.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain high housekeeping standards.

Working hours: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am

Your Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Always carry out your duties safely and in full compliance with site procedures and legislation.
• Wear the correct PPE at all times while on site.
• Immediately report any safety concerns, hazards or issues to your Supervisor, Team Leader or Site Management.
• Report all near misses, accidents, incidents and non-conformances promptly and accurately.

Operations

• Support the efficient operation of the plant by maintaining appropriate loading rates and seeking guidance from your Supervisor or Team Leader when required.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient turnaround times.
• Load and unload trailers and containers as instructed.
• Work collaboratively across the site, supporting other areas of the operation when required.
• Operate plant and equipment in accordance with site permits, consents and operating procedures.
• Complete all required operational checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
• Work with your Supervisor or Team Leader to identify and resolve operational issues, using initiative where appropriate.
• Ensure all 770-litre bins are washed, cleaned and maintained after each use.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site, including removing litter and keeping work areas clean and safe.
