Job summary

Tradebe is seeking a Class 2 Driver (3 Shift) to join the Swindon site. You will be responsible for the collection of clinical waste from customer sites such as hospitals and transfer stations.

Shift details include a 1pm start, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends. Requirement: C+E or C Licence, CPC, ADR knowledge desirable, and a commitment to safe handling of waste and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• C+E or C Licence required.
• CPC qualification.
• ADR qualification desirable.
• Understanding of EU Driver & Working time Laws.
• Good communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport customers’ waste in a professional manner, following all Road Laws, the Highway Code and ADR regulations.
• Load and unload waste containers safely, ensuring correct segregation and secure loads at all times.
• Complete all required paperwork and PDA entries accurately and submit them at the end of the shift.
• Carry out pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects, issues, delays or non-conformities to the line manager.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and fuelled vehicle.
• Adhere to all site rules and wear the required PPE and correct uniform at all times.
• Communicate professionally with customers and work effectively as part of the team.

Tradebeis looking for a Class 2 Driver (3 Shift) to join the team at our Swindon site. You will be responsible for the collection of clinical waste from customer sites such as acute hospitals and transfer stations.

Shift Details

• Start Time: 1pm
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Pattern: Rotating shift pattern
• Availability: Includes weekdays and weekends as part of the rotation (1 in 3 weekends)

Main Responsibilties:

• Safely collect and transport customers’ waste in a professional manner, following all Road Laws, the Highway Code and ADR regulations.

• ADR qualified
• Experience in handling Waste (Clinical & Hazardous desirable).
• Use of hand held devices i.e. PDA.

Knowledge:

• Good knowledge Road Traffic Laws.
• Good knowledge of the waste industry (Clinical & Hazardous waste desirable).
