Job summary

Tradebe Management Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Waste Operations Supervisor to join our on-site team. You will manage waste movements, ensure compliance with permits, and drive throughput on processing plants.

Responsibilities

• Manage all waste movements on site from receipt to transfer in accordance with procedures and legislation to ensure revenue is captured
• Ensure plant(s) operate in line with permits and monitor emissions to avoid breaches
• Report breaches to regulator and management per permit requirements
• Maximise throughputs by ensuring correct waste mixing/blending on processing plants
• Act as go-between to site manager when plant manager is absent
• Carry out required operational checks and maintenance per PPM schedule
• Perform repairs on equipment as trained and necessary
• Use initiative to solve problems or escalate as needed
• Ensure all bins (770l) are washed and maintained after use
• Deploy resources for swift turnaround of company vehicles
• Assist other parts of the operation as part of the site team
• Maintain highest standards of site housekeeping
• Record site waste movements numbers at end of each shift as required
• Liaise with emergency services as the point of contact during silent hours

• To manage all waste movements on site from receipt to treatment and/or transfer from site in accordance with company procedures (SAP) and legislation to ensure all revenue is captured
• Ensure the plant(s) are operated in line with site permits and consents, including monitoring emissions (where applicable) to avoid breaches
• Report any such breaches to the regulator in accordance with permit requirements and to management in accordance with company procedures
• Maximise throughputs on all processing plants by ensuring waste is mixed/blended as required
• Act as go between to site manager in the absence of the plant manager
• Carry out all required operational checks and/or maintenance on site and equipment in accordance with PPM schedule
• Carry out repairs on equipment where trained
• Use initiative to solve problems as they occur or notify line manager where this is not possible
• Ensure all bins (770ltr) are washed and maintained after each use
• Deploy resources to ensure swift turnaround of company vehicles
• Working as part of the site team you will be excepted to carry out duties to assist other parts of the operation
• Ensure that site housekeeping is of the highest standards
• Report waste on site numbers at the end of each shift in accordance with site requirements
• Liaise with emergency services, point of call during silent hours
