Job summary

Veolia in Scotland is seeking an experienced Operative to support the Tay contract across Hatton and Bioresources sites. You will manage process units, perform SCADA checks, laboratory sampling, maintenance, and ensure safety and quality compliance.

The role involves running Seghers dryer BFPs, GBTs Centrifuges, and routine plant checks with a 40-hour workweek, on-site, with a training period leading to a salary of £29,831.33 rising to £36,474.96 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Driving licence required.
• Working safely, permits to work, and confined space experience.
• Problem solving in a wastewater or similar process environment.
• SVQ 3 Wastewater management or willingness to achieve.
• Operator/manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and report on activities within established procedures, monitor and test service performance.
• Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced to meet standards.
• Carry out routine activities to time and quality standards for smooth day-to-day operation of the process.
• Support of planned maintenance system.
• PPM and Task spec completion.
• Critical DATA input.

Hours: 40 hours per week - 7.30 - 16.30 Mon - Thu, 7.30 - 14.00 Fri with half an hour unpaid lunch and standby rota

Location: Hatton and Bioresources sites Scotland

To report to the Unit Controller/Deputy Unit Controller with responsibility for the operational control of the Process Units within the Tay contract and associated sites, so as to meet all operating targets as defined in the operating contract. To perform a range of assigned activities, responsibilities including the running of a Seghers dryer BFPs, GBTs Centrifuges and all processes required to run a STC building. SCADA checks laboratory sampling, testing, routine plant and network checks, first line maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards. To ensure all statutory Quality and Safety policies and regulations are satisfied, and that all company policies are implemented and maintained.

What are we looking for?
