Job summary

Veolia UK in Padworth, Reading is seeking a dedicated refuse operativ e to collect waste from outside residential properties across West Berkshire. The role entails manual bin handling and tipping duties on a 40-hour week, with early start times.

You will communicate with residents to provide a high level of service and record completed work on mobile devices. The job suits outdoors-oriented individuals who can work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to collect waste from outside residential properties within West Berkshire.
• Manually pull bins and load them onto the refuse vehicle to tip the waste.
• Use your communication skills to deliver a high standard of service to the residents.
• Accurately recording work completed and reporting any collection issues onto mobile tablet devices provided.

Salary: £13.47 per hour plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. 06:30 - 15:00 (including bank holidays)

What you'll be doing;

• Working as part of a team to collect waste from outside residential properties within West Berkshire
• Manually pulling bins and loading them onto the refuse vehicle to tip the waste

This role includes physical duties and you will be walking up to 10 miles per day in all weather conditions.
