Job summary

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required or trade-specific qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety training.
• Desirable: HNC (or equivalent) for progression.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Complete routine inspections, plant checks, sampling, testing and first-line maintenance.
• Analyse process data, identify faults, troubleshoot issues and optimise plant performance.
• Isolate, prepare, and recommission plant equipment for maintenance per site procedures.
• Identify, report, and raise safety, operational and maintenance concerns via CMMS.
• Maintain shift logs, handovers, data validation and compliance documentation.
• Support site safety through housekeeping, safety tours and permit-to-work processes.
• Provide guidance to Level 1 Technicians and assist with training of new operators.
• Build effective relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors.
