Responsibilities

  • Manufacture TissuePatch products in a Class 7 cleanroom following established processes.
  • Prepare solutions and perform casting, cutting, and related production activities.
  • Clean, prepare, and calibrate equipment and glassware before and after use.
  • Maintain cleanroom and production areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Document production activities in batch records accurately.
  • Receive, book in, and manage materials to maintain stock levels.
  • Support equipment maintenance alongside engineering colleagues.
  • Assist with packaging, inventory, cleaning, and other duties as needed.

Job Description

Join BD's Surgery business in Leeds and play an important role in the manufacture of TissuePatch, an innovative product that helps healthcare professionals reduce surgical complications, enhance patient outcomes, and improve the overall experience of care. This is an excellent opportunity to begin or build a career in manufacturing within a regulated medical device environment. Full training is provided, so previous cleanroom experience is not required. You will work in a supportive team environment, contributing to the production of life-changing healthcare products while developing valuable technical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture TissuePatch products in a Class 7 cleanroom environment following established processes and procedures.
  • Prepare solutions and carry out casting, cutting, and other production activities.
  • Clean, prepare, and calibrate equipment and glassware before and after manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain cleanroom facilities and production areas to ensure a safe, organised, and efficient working environment.
  • Complete routine microbiological monitoring and accurately document production activities in batch records.
  • Receive, book in, and manage materials, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Support equipment maintenance activities alongside engineering colleagues.
  • Assist with packaging, inventory, cleaning, and other operational activities when required.
Preferred Requirements
  • Motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Confident using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interested in working within a regulated manufacturing environment and following documented procedures.
  • Aware of the importance of quality, safety, and compliance in production operations.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and record-keeping.
