Summary:
The Water / Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operations Technician will be responsible for operatingand monitoring the process equipment associated with the water / effluent treatment plant on thesite of an international drinks manufacturer based in Ledbury. The Technician will spend the majorityof their time in Ledbury but will support other local operations as needed.
The ETP Technician will be expected to monitor and control the plant and implement any operationalchanges to ensure the plant operates as designed. The Technician would also prepare plant forplanned maintenance tasks as required. The ETP Technician will also be expected to input site dataon a computer-based system to monitor and record plant performance.
The EPT is a multistage biological process that requires careful monitoring to ensure the plant isoperating within defined limits. As part of this monitoring regime, the Operations Technician isrequired to carryout routine testing of water samples using the onsite laboratory equipment tomeasure pH, COD, suspended solids, and other parameters as indicators of plant performance. Inaddition, the Technician is expected to be able to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning ofequipment, such as cleaning of process instruments and sensor calibration.
The role also requires that the assets are operated at optimum performance at all times and theTechnician will form part of a team to assist in this task.
The role requirements are the safe & seamless operation of the ETP in accordance with the regulatoryconsent and without interruption to the customer’s production activities.
The team which this Technician will join are located in Ledbury, however occasional support withinthe Hereford area may also be required. Full training will be provided.
