Job summary

Marshalls plc is seeking an Operations Team Member for its Burton-on-Trent site. You will operate manual and semi-automated machinery and, when qualified, forklift trucks to move materials around the site. A focus on health and safety underpins daily tasks while you support a collaborative team environment.

The role offers a competitive salary (£31,473) plus benefits, with shifts on Monday–Friday (45 hours) or a single shift (6am–3pm).

Qualifications

• Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Experience operating semi-automated machinery or robotic equipment (desirable).
• Basic computer skills (preferred but not essential).
• A current accredited FLT licence (preferred but not essential).
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• A strong team-player mentality and positive attitude.
• A commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• A willingness to learn and build a long-term career with a successful, industry-leading business.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of manual and semi-automated machinery.
• Move materials and finished products safely around the site using Forklift Trucks where qualified.
• Support the wider team with site upkeep, housekeeping, cleaning, painting and maintenance tasks.

So, what's the mission?

You'll operate a variety of manual and semi-automated machinery, use hand-powered tools, and, where qualified, operate mobile plant such as Forklift Trucks to move materials and finished products safely around the site. You'll also support the wider team with general site upkeep, including housekeeping, cleaning, painting, and other maintenance tasks to help maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
