Job description

Job Title: Operations Supervisor - Waste Management and Recycling

Salary: 45,000 plus pension
Hours: 7am - 5pm

Location: Lancaster, Heysham, Morecambe, or surrounding areas

Main Duties

1. Hands-on operative role, including loading and unloading
2. Managing the team daily to ensure production levels are maintained
3. Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies
4. Ensuring safe storage of all goods to maintain quality

Required Experience

• Experience in sectors such as warehouse, freight, shipping, transport, distribution, courier, waste management, recycling collections, parcels, haulage, building products, or delivery
• Welding or fabricating experience is highly beneficial
• Forklift qualification is advantageous
• Excellent man-management skills
• Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General are beneficial but not mandatory

Previous titles may include Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Team Leader, Depot Shift Supervisor, Dispatch Shift Leader, Waste Site Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader, Recycling Team Leader, Site Supervisor, or Plastics Site Supervisor.
