Job summary

Arriva is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our Harlow depot to lead day-to-day bus operations. You will oversee turnout, route coverage and driver welfare, while working closely with engineering and depot teams to keep fleet available and services on schedule.

We value strong leadership, clear communication and a proactive approach to improving efficiency and customer service. A full driving licence and flexibility to work shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Operations Supervisor, Transport Supervisor or Duty Manager.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing operational performance and KPIs.
• Knowledge of transport operations, scheduling and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Supervising, motivating and supporting operational staff and bus drivers.
• Managing daily bus service delivery, route coverage and resource allocation.
• Monitoring punctuality, reliability and operational performance across services.
• Investigating operational incidents, customer complaints and service disruptions.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and transport legislation.
• Working closely with engineering and depot teams to maintain fleet availability and produce operational reports.
