Job summary

Monzo is seeking an Operations Strategy & Commercial Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract to shape and evolve the Operations strategy as the business scales. You’ll combine performance insight, financial analysis and strategic thinking to keep priorities, investments and delivery aligned with outcomes.

You’ll work across Operations, Product, Engineering and Finance to connect strategy to delivery, own the Roadmap, and drive a few high-impact initiatives that improve scalability and unit

Qualifications

• Strategy, commercial, transformation, or business operations experience in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong analytical rigour and bias to action.
• Strong commercial acumen and use of financial insight to support strategic decisions.
• Excellent written communication and cross-functional leadership without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Shape and continually evolve the Operations strategy, ensuring priorities, trade-offs and investments align to customer outcomes and long-term efficiency.
• Drive commercial visibility and performance management across Operations, including P&L monitoring and identifying opportunities to improve unit economics.
• Translate strategy and progress into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Partner with Operations, Product, Engineering and Finance to connect strategy to delivery and advance high-value work.
