Job summary

ScottishPower, part of the Iberdrola Group, is recruiting a Business Process Expert in Glasgow. The role combines technical and functional expertise to optimise end-to-end operational processes in a hybrid work environment.

You’ll support process improvements, develop reporting, and collaborate across Customer Business, operations and technology teams to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data or similar (or equivalent practical experience).
• Some experience in data analysis, operations or process improvement.
• Exposure to working in structured operational environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with data and draw basic insights.
• Desirable Understanding of the UK Energy Retail market or utilities sector.
• Experience working with reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI or similar).
• Basic knowledge of data handling tools (e.g. SQL or similar).
• Interest in process improvement, automation or digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the definition and improvement of retail business processes, ensuring a good customer experience and smooth operations.
• Assisting in analysing operational issues, helping to identify trends, potential causes and improvement opportunities.
• Contributing to the development of process improvements and basic automations, aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing manual work.
• Creating and maintaining reporting and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and supporting business insights.
• Using a range of business tools and technologies to support process performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting interactions with third‑party partners, helping to ensure activities are delivered as expected.
• Collaborating with internal teams across Customer Business, operations and technology to support delivery of improvements.
• Supporting the prioritisation of tasks and initiatives based on business needs and team objectives.
• Communicating findings and updates clearly to team members and stakeholders.
