Job summary

JJ Foodservice is seeking an Operations Operative for the Day Shift at Unit 4, Ringway Business Park, Nechells, near Birmingham. You will work in our warehouse to prepare orders for loading onto our lorries and store items in their correct locations, ensuring stock is checked for damage or expiry.

The role involves manual handling and heavy lifting, with a focus on accurate stock control and efficient workflow. JJ Foodservice offers a generous benefits package and opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities

• Preparing customer orders that will be loaded onto our lorries.
• Store items safely in the correct location.
• Check stock for damage, loss or short dated items and report as required.
• Manual handling - lifting or moving products as required.
• Physical requirements - pushing and pulling the trolley to carry items.

The perfect candidate will work behind-the-scenes to ensure the warehouse operates smoothly.

Salary: £26,440.00 per annum

We are looking for applicants who have:

• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent people skills, as well as being a great team player

• Eligibility to live and work in the UK
• A physically active nature (due to heavy lifting)
• A good standard of spoken English
