The Diocese of Exeter is seeking an Operations Officer to coordinate the day-to-day running of our diocesan offices. You will manage workloads, support colleagues, and help ensure efficient operations in a busy parish environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work from the Old Deanery in Exeter, liaising across teams and with stakeholders to uphold health and safety and data protection standards while delivering practical, reliable support to keep services running smoothly.
The Diocese of Exeter is seeking a self-motivated and capable individual to join us as our Operations Officer, coordinating the day-to-day running of our diocesan offices.
We are looking for someone with excellent planning and administrative skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills and the confidence to use their own initiative. A sense of humour and a willingness to turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks will also be important.
The Operations team is at the heart of diocesan life, and the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining and strengthening positive working relationships, both within the team and with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders across the diocese.
Through proactive management of their workload, the postholder will help ensure that our policies and working practices remain up to date, particularly in relation to health and safety and data protection compliance. They will also work closely with the IT Support Officer, providing mutual support and practical assistance to help ensure the smooth running of diocesan systems and services, and contributing to a positive and efficient working environment for all.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will be based at the Old Deanery in the heart of historic Exeter, close to Exeter Cathedral. We can offer a varied and interesting workload, supportive colleagues, and a working environment that encourages teamwork, energy and creativity.
Salary:£28,400.00 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week
Location: The normal place of work will be the diocesan offices in Exeter
