Job summary

Exeter College is seeking an executive officer to support the Executive Leadership Team in Exeter. The role is part-time (29.6 hours per week, 0.8 FTE) with a permanent contract, based at Exeter.

You will provide high‑level executive assistance, manage confidential information, coordinate boards and committees, and help run major college events. Strong IT skills, especially Excel, and experience in admin/coordination are essential.

  • Provide admin and technical support for the College's data protection function, working closely with the DPO and SIRO.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation by providing high-level executive support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, proactive and confidential support to members of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building effective relationships across the College Group and beyond
  • Support Boards, Committees and other senior meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking
  • Support major College events, meetings and initiatives
  • Provide admin and technical support for the College's data protection function, working closely with the DPO and SIRO
Requirements
  • Highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Calm under pressure and confident using their initiative
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous, detail-focused and able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Comfortable working with digital systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experienced in admin, coordination or compliance-related work
