Newcastle City Council is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Local Services and Waste Management Service. You will manage a large frontline workforce to ensure safe, efficient delivery of environmental services across the city, including the rollout of the new weekly food waste collection.

We are looking for a proactive leader with a strong grasp of waste management challenges, performance management, and effective resource planning.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational frontline teams in environmental services.
• Proven ability to manage performance and resources at scale.
• Strong understanding of waste management challenges and opportunities.
