Job summary

Saab UK in Bedfordshire is seeking an Operations Manager to lead governance, compliance, trials and business coordination for the BlueBear operation. You will drive process improvements, track KPIs and ensure alignment with Saab UK quality and security standards.

The role requires proven leadership, strong communication, and experience with ISO standards and export controls. National Security Vetting clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and ability to drive change across the organisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
• Demonstrable experience implementing effective change in an organisation.
• Proven experience managing risks and implementing risk management policies including business continuity plans.
• Experience with implementation of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Awareness of export control, health & safety and environmental management.
• Experience with defence industry and UK MOD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to achieve high standards.
• Be the focal point for process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate compliance activities including export control, health & safety and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the delivery of the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture and act on customer feedback to drive continuous improvements.
• Lead internal and external audit activities.
• Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate implementation of new compliance standards and tools.
• Provide internal training on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
