Job summary

TOAST is seeking an Operations Manager for the Marylebone store to deliver outstanding operational performance and an exceptional customer experience. You will lead a high-performing team, optimise back-of-house processes, and collaborate with Buying, Merchandising and Warehouse to maintain stock availability and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure store achieves highly efficient back-of-house and administrative processes to support optimal trading conditions
• Support cost control KPI targets, including stockloss%, pay to sales%, and other controllable costs
• Support recruitment and development of a high performing team with training and guidance
• Demonstrate TOAST's operational and administrative standards through your team
• Build strong relationships with Buying, Merchandising and Warehouse to manage stock movements for optimal availability and cost of transfer
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment with strong housekeeping and risk assessment
• Ensure adherence to efficient back-of-house administrative processes per the TOAST Retail Operations Manual
• Facilitate optimal trading results through organized operational practices
• Support delivery of TOAST's brand visuals in-store with Sales Manager and General Manager
• Support delivery of TOAST's brand commercial expectations in-store with Sales Manager
• Support customer service delivery and sales targets while leading by example
• Provide detailed feedback to key liaisons regarding stock performance and opportunities
• Support delivery of TOAST's brand and marketing initiatives in-store with the General Manager and Sales Manager
• Maintain measurable goals and opportunities for team succession through coaching and development
• Actively seek feedback and self-develop to continually improve performance
• Any other duties at the request of the General Manager

Job description

Working as a part of our Marylebone store team, as Operations Manager you will have full responsibility for delivering TOAST's expected operational performance in one of TOAST's highest priority stores.You will be expected to use your initiative to equip and enable your team to successfully deliver their performance goals and create a market leading operational experience which creates the platform for the store to trade at optimal levels.

You will be an ambassador for TOAST in your methods of working and you will work to develop your team to the same standards. You will liaise with all suitable support functions to facilitate any necessary support required to achieve these goals.

ROLE IN DETAIL

• Ensure your store achieves highly efficient back-of-house and administrative processes to support effective and optimal trading conditions
• Support the management of cost control KPI targets, in particular stockloss %, pay to sales % but including all costs within the control of your role.
• Support the recruitment and development of a high performing team capable of delivering the brand's expectations providing all necessary training and guidance.
• Deliver the best example of TOAST's operational and administrative expectations through the development of your store team. Maintain a standard that can be held up as the best in the brand
• Build strong relationships with Buying & Merchandising and Warehouse functions to manage stock movements in and out of store to achieve optimal stock availability and cost of transfer
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all the team with a focus on risk assessment and ensuring a high level of housekeeping, front and back of house.
• Ensure adherence to highly efficient and secure back-of-house administrative processes as outlined in the TOAST Retail Operations Manual
• Facilitate optimal trading results through highly efficient and organized operational practices.
• Support the delivery of the best example of TOAST's brand visual expectations in your store in liaison with the Sales Manager and General Manager.
• Support the delivery of the best example of TOAST's brand commercial expectations in your store in liaison with the Sales Manager.
• Support delivery of customer service experience and sales targets and supporting KPI's when operational duties are complete and lead by example
• Provide detailed feedback to key liaisons regarding stock performance and opportunity.
• Support the exceptional delivery of TOAST's brand and marketing initiatives in your store in liaison with the General Manager and Sales manager.
• Maintain planned and measurable goals and support opportunities for succession with your team through coaching and development.
• Actively seek feedback and self-development of own skills set to continually improve performance.
• Any other duties at the request of the General Manager.
