Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and develop multiple offices within the North East CPA (Newcastle, County Durham and Tees Valley) for Youth Jobs Guarantee.

The role focuses on delivering contracts on time and within budget, while ensuring high-quality participant journeys.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable success in the management of teams across multiple sites.
  • Solid understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational processes across multiple teams.
  • Experience of carrying out effective performance and development reviews, overseeing financial resources, driving continuous improvement and managing external relationships.
  • High level of personal organisation and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across sites.
  • A-Levels or Level 3 Diploma with GCSE English Language at Grade B or above (or Level 2 literacy).

This role is office based and covers the North East CPA (Newcastle, County Durham and Tees Valley) for Youth Jobs Guarantee.

What is this role about?

The Operations Manager is directly responsible for the effective performance of a number of offices and/or contracts. This includes ensuring these contracts are delivered within budget and to agreed quality standards, and adequate workflow issues are addressed and milestones necessary for the participants journey are achieved through remote, direct and indirect management.

Youth Jobs Guarantee is a mandatory programme for 18-21 year olds who have been on Universal Credit for 18 months or more, providing a fully subsidised six month paid job of up to 25 hours per week at minimum wage.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
  • Demonstrable success in the management of teams across multiple sites within the Welfare-to-Work or Training sector.
  • Solid understanding of the design and implementation of complex operational processes across multiple teams.
  • Experience of carrying out effective performance and development reviews, overseeing financial resources, driving continuous improvement and managing external relationships.
  • High level of personal organisation and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel across sites
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma in combination with GCSE English Language Grade B or above (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). If you do not possess this level of qualification you will be required to achieve a Level 2 in a Literacy Assessment conducted at interview stage.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience of working on programmes targeting relevant disadvantaged groups in society
  • Experience of delivering foundation/ vocational learning programs.
  • Fluency in community languages.
