Job summary

Bedford Introduction Saab UK is seeking an Operations Manager to support governance, compliance, trials and business coordination across the BlueBear operation in Bedfordshire. You will drive process standardisation, collect and analyse KPIs, and ensure robust controls across export, safety and security functions, while coordinating internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills with ability to drive change across the organisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing effective change in organisations.
• Proven experience managing risks and implementing risk management policies including business continuity.
• Experience implementing Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• ISO 27001 desirable.
• Awareness of export control, health & safety, and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to achieve high standards.
• Lead process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate critical compliance areas including export control, health & safety, and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture customer feedback, communicate success, and track changes.
• Promote Operational Excellence across the organisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activity.
• Act as Risk and Opportunity Co-ordinator and lead business continuity activities.
• Coordinate export control compliance ensuring adequate resources and processes.
• Implement new compliance standards and business tools.
• Capture and act on internal feedback to drive improvements.
• Deliver internal training on continuous improvement / operational excellence.
