Job summary

Bedford Introduction Saab UK is seeking an Operations Manager to join the BlueBear Business in Bedfordshire. The role provides governance, compliance, trials and business coordination support to continuously improve BlueBear operations and integration with Saab UK.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate audits, manage risk and ensure compliance across export control, health & safety, and security while developing KPIs and leading change initiatives within Saab UK.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills and ability to drive change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing effective change in an organisation.
• Experience managing risks and implementing risk management policies including business continuity.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• ISO 27001 desirable.
• Awareness of UK export control, health & safety and environmental management desirable.
• Experience with defence industry and UK MOD desirable.
• National Security Vetting to SC level or ability to gain it.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation to high standards.
• Be the focal point for process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
• Coordinate export control, health & safety, security and other compliance areas.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture customer feedback and communicate changes and improvements.
• Promote Operational Excellence across the organisation.
