Job summary

Brownbill Associates, part of the Active Care Group, is seeking an Operations Manager for our Thame office. You will provide operational leadership across people, processes and systems to ensure compliant, high-quality case management services.

The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated health and social care setting. Mon–Fri, 9–5, office-based with salary negotiable depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operational management role within health and social care or similar regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of case management practices is advantageous.
  • Experience leading teams and improving processes.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Operations Manager to join us at our Thame office - Brownbill Associates.

Brownbill Case Management has been established since 1992 and exists to deliver an outstanding case management service to children, young people and adults who have enduring and complex health conditions and injuries.

As part of the Active Care Group (ACG) Case Management Division, Brownbill Case Management Services (BAL) provides a specialist case management service primarily for individuals who have been affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, Cerebral Palsy, complex orthopaedic injuries and amputation. We work across the Midlands, London and Home Counties, and South East regions.

About the role:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimising the day-to-day operational delivery of case management within the business, ensuring services are delivered effectively, compliantly and consistently to a high standard.

The role provides operational leadership across, people, processes and systems to support effective case outcomes, regulatory compliance, financial performance and excellent client outcomes. Working closely with Senior Management and Clinical Leads the Operations Manager translates strategic objectives into operational plans, driving continuous improvement for the brand.

  • Full time Monday to Friday
  • Office based in Thame, Oxfordshire
  • 9 to 5pm
  • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
What you'll be doing:

Office & Operational Management

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the office.
  • Oversee Management of all operational teams within the Case Management Brand. Responsible for ensuring consistent operational standards and practices across all teams. Coordinates and leads to maintain alignment with company policies, procedures, and strategic goals. Identifies and addresses operational challenges, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where necessary.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of annual leave and sick leave ensuring business continuity.
  • Foster a productive work environment and manage team performance. Ensuring all absence is adequately recorded on ITrent and any concerns raised.
  • Develop and maintain systems for collating data / audits to support the business.
  • In collaboration with the Business Director be responsible for the maintenance of bespoke case management recording systems.
  • Reporting on operational and office related matters at SLT and Case Management Site Improvement Plan/Risk Register meetings.
  • Undertake unbillable activities, including but not limited to, property maintenance, on site, Health and Safety, order/manage stocks of stationery, shredding, cleaning, PPE and kitchen supplies.
  • Oversee the purchase and necessary maintenance of office equipment. Reporting to the Business Director on any need for significant new expenditure.
Some of the other key responsibilities are:
  • Supervision of members of the Operations Team (under instruction from the Brand Director). Providing leadership, guidance, and support to operational staff. Conducts regular supervision and performance reviews to ensure accountability and professional development.
  • Act as a mentor and escalation point for complex operational issues handled by senior team members.
  • Deal with non-clinical / business enquiries supporting all stakeholders.
  • Support SLT with marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Support to Business Director and Clinical Director as required.

What you'll have:
  • Experience in operational management role ideally within a health and social care setting, knowledge of case management an advantage.
  • Experience of operating within regulated serviced with direct involvement in meeting regulatory standards, audits and quality assurances.
  • Extensive office-based experience, including responsibility for financial processes and management.
  • Experience of leading service change, transformation and growth – desirable.
