Job summary

Stagecoach Porth Depot in Wales is seeking an experienced Depot Operations Manager to lead a team and drive exceptional service delivery. You will champion safety culture and ensure people and customers remain at the heart of what we do.

You will need proven team leadership and a track record of achieving operational excellence within a busy transport environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Operations Manager in transport.
• CPC Level 3 Transport Manager qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of allocation systems and transport legislation.
• Calm, capable approach to management challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and ensure welfare of drivers and Duty Managers.
• Plan and deliver a cost-effective, customer-focused daily operation.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure safe, reliable, high-quality service.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to drive depot performance.

£52,904 per annum

We are now seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Depot Operations Manager to lead, inspire, and support our team in Porth. In this pivotal role, you will drive exceptional service delivery for our customers, champion a robust safety culture, and ensure that our people and our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.

To succeed, you will need a strong track record in team leadership and a proven ability to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and ensure the welfare of drivers and a team of Duty Managers
• Plan and deliver a cost-effective, customer-focused daily operation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the delivery of a safe, reliable, and high-quality service.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager to drive overall depot performance.

What We're Looking For

• An experienced Operations Manager, ready for a new challenge.
• Transport Manager CPC Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead with confidence and clarity.
• Working knowledge of allocation systems and relevant transport legislation.
• A calm, capable approach to typical management challenges.
