Job summary

Vivo Talent are partnering with a digital engineering company to recruit an Operations Manager in Oxford. This role owns day-to-day operations, service management and improvements of a large-scale PLM/3DEXPERIENCE platform.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on 3DEXPERIENCE/PLM operations experience, strong ITIL/COBIT governance, and a proven ability to lead technical teams, manage SaaS vendors, and drive continual improvement in secure, resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Essential: Significant experience managing the operations of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE and/or large-scale PLM platforms within an engineering environment.
• Strong background in IT Operations and Service Management with experience leading technical teams, suppliers and service partners.
• Strong working knowledge of ITIL and/or COBIT with experience establishing and operating structured ITSM and governance frameworks.
• Proven experience managing SaaS platforms, vendors, SLAs, KPIs and service performance with a focus on availability, resilience and continual improvement.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, SecDevOps, access management and secure operations, ideally within regulated or security-conscious engineering environments.
• Experience with engineering standards, configuration control and digital engineering ecosystems; Chartered Engineer or equivalent would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take overall ownership of the day-to-day operational performance, availability and reliability of a large-scale PLM/3DEXPERIENCE platform.
• Lead internal teams, delivery partners and suppliers to deliver high-quality, ITIL-aligned service management, including incident, problem, change and service performance management.
• Own platform resilience, monitoring, backup and recovery, ensuring operational risks and service issues are identified and addressed proactively.
• Act as the key operational interface with the SaaS platform vendor, coordinating service delivery, escalations, performance and platform-related issues.
• Work closely with Solution Architecture, Engineering, Cybersecurity and IT Operations teams to ensure new platform capabilities are securely and effectively transitioned into live operations.
• Drive continuous improvement across the operational service, including governance, configuration and access management, JML processes, supporting applications, user communications, KPIs/SLAs and ITSM practices.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, service management and continuous improvement of a large-scale PLM / Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

This is a specialist role requiring hands‑on experience operating 3DEXPERIENCE and digital engineering platforms. Previous 3DEXPERIENCE/PLM operations experience is essential and candidates without this background will not be considered.
