A boutique investment management firm in London is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee key operational tasks and support the development of operational processes. This role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to drive operational excellence in a collaborative environment.
Our client is a boutique investment management firm with a growing headcount and a strong reputation for bespoke client service and multi-asset investment expertise. Due to ongoing expansion, they are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager will take responsibility for the following duties:
• Support the strategic development of the firm’s operational processes, working closely with senior stakeholders
• Oversee, review and approve key operational tasks, both regular and ad-hoc
• Take full ownership of the quarterly valuations process
• Maintain data control and integrity across internal systems
• Manage service provider relationships, including user access, system updates, and regular reviews
• Line manage and support the development of an Operations Analyst, while also providing cover for key operational roles during absences
The Operations Manager will meet the following skillset:
• Proven experience in a similar operational role within investment management or wider financial services
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
• Solid IT skills, including Excel and ideally SQL; confidence learning new systems
• Previous experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues is highly desirable
• IOC qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
