Operations Manager
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Offering Circa. £50,000 basic salary, plus benefits!

Our client is a growing manufacturer committed to reducing environmental impact through innovation and responsible production. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead their day-to-day manufacturing and warehouse operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and sustainability across all levels of the supply chain.

This Operations Manager will require solid leadership, coordination, and process optimisation skills to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and delivery of long-term strategic growth. The successful candidate will have 2 – 5 direct reports including a Production Manager, Logistics and Warehouse management team.

Operations Manager - Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the General Manager, to oversee and manage all manufacturing and warehouse operations including goods in/out, stock control, production, and dispatch.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve sustainability.
• Having overall responsibility for approx. 120 employees, managing and developing a leadership team who support, mentor and drive improvement across manufacturing and warehousing.
• Identify, create and implement new processes and strategies to increase efficiency, quality and on time delivery. Providing improved structure for operations to support our client’s growth plans.
• Support and coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to meet delivery and production deadlines.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and operational planning.
• Ensure maintenance and reliability of all manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
• Support the implementation of automation systems.

Operations Manager - Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ideally, experienced managing multi-functional departments, with overall responsibility for approx. 100 employees.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• NEBOSH qualification (desirable).

The Operations Manager position is offering Circa. £50,000 basic salary plus benefits. This is a full time, permanent position, based at our client’s site in the Leeds area.
