A leading company in the fitness industry is seeking an Equipment Manager to oversee equipment operations and partnerships. The role involves maintaining asset standards, managing supplier relationships, and improving member experience through effective data analysis and strategic planning.
Role purpose
To develop, deliver and continuously improve our equipment strategy, processes and operation. Encourage and drive meaningful improvement amongst our equipment partners and supplier base, whilst adapting to the designated market and maintaining cross-Group alignment in key areas.
About the team
The Group Property Development (GPD) team are responsible for the design, cost management and engineering for all property development projects, in addition to leading the existing estate and energy investment strategies. The team now also owns all equipment operations and key strategic partnerships within the space.
The Role
• Responsible for the upkeep of all equipment assets in line with expected internal standards.
• Managing our equipment partners to deliver contractual & non contractual repair and servicing SLA’s, alongside value-add contractual elements such as CV rotations, Tech walk rounds etc.
• Audit supplier information and data for key contractual elements such as repairs data, PPM schedules, open order ETA’s, TechGM Walkarounds etc.
• Using internal and external data to continuously look at ways to improve the member experience, condition, and longevity of our assets across the estate.
• Liaise with our partners and internal teams to effectively deliver equipment asset BAU processes, such a gym team PPM schedules, maintenance videos etc.
• Manage equipment related budget streams and own expenditure.
• Manage and update the equipment asset register as per our standard operating process.
• Own the annual replacement program including keeping the asset lifecycle principles up to date, building out a view on extended warranty planning and obsolescence risk.
• Feed into the rolling 12-month supply chain forecast, to ensure continuation of supply.
• Build out and maintain a network of equipment traders to ensure best value for extracted assets.
• Support Supplier Relationship Management, including regular direct contact with our key suppliers.
• Assist with key cross-Group asset activities
• As required, assist with any other equipment related tasks to ensure delivery of team objectives.
The Person
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
• Can work with and interpret large data sets to provide asset insight and recommendations.
• Has strong IT capabilities, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Can effectively build and manage relationships with various stakeholders at all levels, across markets including Equipment Suppliers and the wider PureGym team.
• Motivates and drives high level performance through external and internal parties.
• Takes ownership for performance and ensures that all targets are met.
• Displays resilience and is passionate about the role, taking proactive steps whenever possible.
• Is an ambassador of the PureGym values.
