Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a multidisciplinary Adult Social Care team supporting adults with complex needs, homelessness, or domestic abuse. You will drive high-quality, person-centred support in partnership with health services, housing providers and voluntary organisations.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, performance, budgets and compliance with Care Act and safeguarding duties, while promoting inclusion, learning and professional

Qualifications

• Experience leading adult social care or related services with complex needs
• Experience with homelessness, domestic abuse and safeguarding
• Knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding responsibilities
• Ability to manage budgets and drive service performance and quality
• Excellent communication and ability to build cross-organisational partnerships

Responsibilities

• Manage budgetary performance of a designated service unit within the departmental scheme
• Oversee service performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Ensure effective service delivery through people management and policy adherence
• Promote inclusion, innovation, learning and professional development
• Ensure compliance with Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding requirements
