Job summary

Kingscroft Professional Resources is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a high-volume manufacturing business in the UK. You will lead Production, Quality, Purchasing, Scheduling, Logistics, Maintenance and Facilities to deliver targets and drive continuous improvement.

You will work with the MD to implement the five-year plan, manage budgets, develop teams and build a culture of delivery and quality while maintaining strong customer service and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• Experienced in leading a fast-paced production environment
• Proven ability to lead operations in a manufacturing business
• Strong leadership, strategic and long-term planning skills with a hands-on approach to daily production operations

Responsibilities

• Lead Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Scheduling, Logistics, Maintenance and Facilities.
• Develop performance-based metrics to deliver the business plan and drive cost of sale efficiency.
• Work with departmental managers to define strategy and develop teams to achieve results.
• Drive daily performance and long-term goals of the plant.
• Lead Continuous Improvement and implement automation, process and operational change to deliver results.
• Develop the culture of the plant to deliver the business plan and exceed customer expectations for delivery and quality targets.
• Manage capital projects and investments to ensure development across equipment and facilities.
• Work with the MD to ensure the company strategy, plan and performance are achieved.
• Provide reporting and detailed analysis of performance to group and business.
• Develop annual operational budgets aligned with a five-year strategic plan.

Kingscroft has been asked to recruit for an Operations Manager by a high volume specialist manufacturing business with a global supply chain and customer base. As the ideal Operations Manager you will be driven by delivering targets in production and experienced in leading a challenging manufacturing operation. You will have strong leadership,strategic and long term planning skills but enjoy the detail, pace and problem solving of day to day production operations.

Your duties will involve:
