Job summary

Hackney Borough Council is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to build and lead the operational delivery of our Private Sector Housing and Property Licensing service. You will oversee licensing, inspections, enforcement and wider regulation to ensure safe, secure and well-managed homes across Hackney.

You will establish the new operating model, lead managers, recruit and develop a high-performing team, implement new processes, and drive delivery of a substantial licensing and enforcement

Qualifications

• Well developed experience in Private Sector Housing, housing regulation and environmental health.
• Experience leading operational teams within complex regulatory public services.
• Proven ability to design or improve services and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery for licensing, inspections, compliance and enforcement in Private Sector Housing.
• Build and manage a multi-disciplinary team of managers and staff.
• Develop processes, performance frameworks and quality standards.
• Ensure high-quality customer service delivery and regulatory compliance.
