Job summary

Hackney Council seeks an experienced Operations Manager to deliver the Private Sector Housing & Property Licensing service. Lead licensing, inspections, enforcement and compliance to improve housing standards across Hackney.

You will build a high-performing team, implement new operating models, and ensure delivery against strategic objectives, within a culturally inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Private Sector Housing, Housing Regulation, or Environmental Health.
• Ability to lead operational teams within a regulatory/public service setting.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, licensing, inspections, compliance and enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for Private Sector Housing & Property Licensing teams.
• Lead a team of managers and oversee licensing processing, compliance and enforcement.
• Develop and implement new operating models and service improvements.
