Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard LLP is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to manage and develop Paralegals and Legal Apprentices within the Disputes sub-team of the Transaction Services Team. The role covers work allocation, coaching, and cross-office collaboration, with base in Leeds or Manchester and occasional travel.

You will lead a motivated group, drive performance, and help shape an end-to-end training programme. A strong emphasis on teamwork, flexibility and client-focused delivery is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in disputes or supervision/people management.
• Strong coaching and feedback abilities to develop staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocating work within the Disputes sub-team and ensuring tasks are resourced appropriately.
• Line management of Legal Apprentices, Paralegals and Senior Paralegals, with regular coaching and development checks.
• Contributing to team growth by engaging with fee earners and partners to promote opportunities and develop training.
• Support the Team Leader and Senior Manager, assist in recruitment, run team meetings and coordinate training.
