Job summary

Veolia Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Transport Manager to join on a 6‑month fixed term contract. You will lead day‑to‑day fleet operations, manage staff and assets, and drive efficiencies while maintaining high customer service.

The role requires waste and fleet management experience, Transport CPC Level 3 Leadership & Management, and strong financial control, with Power BI reporting to monitor performance. Competitive pension, car allowance, and training are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste and fleet management.
• Transport CPC - Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent.
• Financial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong operational and financial performance while maintaining high levels of customer service and team wellbeing.
• Manage day-to-day operations of operatives, staff and site support to maximise capability.
• Ensure compliance with Veolia and Fleet requirements through audits.
• Use Power BI for daily/weekly/monthly reviews.
• Manage people and assets to deliver efficient and profitable service.
• Be the nominated Transport Manager with overall fleet management responsibility.
• Drive efficiencies to maximise profit.
• Utilise data to improve operational performance.
• Create a customer excellence culture.
• Deliver a first time collection culture.
