Job summary

Veolia in the United Kingdom is seeking a Transport Manager with experience in waste and fleet operations. The role leads day-to-day operatives, ensures compliance with fleet requirements, and delivers strong operational and financial performance.

You will use Power BI for regular reviews, manage assets and people, and hold Transport CPC certification. The position is full-time on-site with a six-month fixed-term contract and a competitive package including pension and car allowance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in waste and fleet management.
• Transport CPC - essential.
• Leadership & management experience or equivalent.
• Financial management experience.

• Oversee day-to-day management of operatives, staff and site support to maximise capacity.
• Ensure compliance with Veolia and Fleet requirements through audits.
• Utilise Power BI for reviews.
• Manage people and assets to deliver an efficient and profitable service.
• Act as Transport Manager with overall fleet compliance responsibility.
• Drive efficiencies to maximise profit.
• Use data to improve operational performance.
• Create a customer excellence culture.
• Deliver a first-time collection approach.
• Manage people and assets to exceed service expectations.

Salary: Up to £45,000, plus car allowance & pension

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

*6 Month Fixed Term Contract*

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in waste and fleet management.
• Transport CPC - essential
• Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience.
• Financial management experience.
