Job summary

Evelyn Partners in Liverpool is seeking an Operations Executive to support COO and CASS oversight on a 12-month FTC. This varied role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team, delivering essential controls and insights across the operations function.

You will track COO actions, assist audits, support investigations, monitor transaction reporting and MI, and conduct user access reviews.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate interest in financial services.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office: Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to brief senior audiences.
• Ability to summarise complex information clearly and accurately.
• Able to organise workload and meet tight deadlines with flexibility.
• Provide high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• COO error tracking and ensure timely actions; update risk event system with profit/loss data.
• Assist audits (internal and external) and track related actions.
• Assist COO error and complaint investigations and preventive actions.
• Assist with transaction reporting monitoring, loss allocation and MI production.
• Assist with user access reviews across COO and external custodial platforms.
• Monitor and maintain COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight in Liverpool on a 12 month FTC.

This is a varied role, offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS oversight, your responsibilities will include among others:

• COO error tracking - ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information
• Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external - eg. AAF, IT) and the tracking of associated actions
• Assist with COO error investigation, COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence
• Assist with transaction reporting monitoring, operational losses allocation and reconciliation and production of COO error and cost centre postings MI
• Assist with user access reviews, ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms
• Monitoring and maintenance of the COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Demonstrable interest in financial services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
• Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to team priorities
• Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally

Desired

• Prior CASS experience is desirable but not essential
• Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential
• Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential
