Job summary

Evelyn Partners in Glasgow is seeking an Operations Executive to cover COO & CASS Oversight for a 12-month FTC. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and a broad view of operations within a wealth management environment.

You will assist with audits, risk and control processes, and ensure timely actions and accurate reporting. A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong MS Office skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and summarise complex information accurately.
• Proficient in using MS Office, especially Word and Excel, for reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• COO error tracking and ensuring timely closure of actions; update risk event system with profit/loss details.
• Assist in coordinating internal and external audits (AAF, IT) and tracking actions.
• Support COO error investigations and complaint investigations, and track actions to prevent recurrence.
• Assist with transaction reporting monitoring, operational losses allocation, reconciliation, and MI for COO errors and cost centres.
• Help with user access reviews to ensure appropriate system access across COO and external custodial platforms.
• Support monitoring and maintenance of the COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive -COO & CASS Oversight in Glasgow on a 12 month FTC.

This is a varied role, offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS oversight, your responsibilities will include among others:

• COO error tracking -ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information
• Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external -eg. AAF, IT) and the tracking of associated actions
• Assist with COO error investigation, COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Assist with transaction reporting monitoring,operational losses allocation and reconciliation and production of COO error and cost centre postings MI
• Assist with user access reviews, ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
• Monitoring and maintenance of the COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Demonstrable interest in financial services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
• Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to team priorities
• Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally
• Prior CASS experience is desirable but not essential
• Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential
