Job summary

Evelyn Partners in Glasgow is seeking an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight on a 12 month FTC. You will gain exposure to operations and interact with senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

The role involves tracking COO errors, supporting audits, investigations, and reporting, with a focus on risk controls and access reviews within internal systems and custodial platforms.

Qualifications

• Interest in financial services.
• Word at basic level and Excel at intermediate.

Responsibilities

• COO error tracking - ensure actions and risk events are updated promptly.
• Assist audits (internal/external) and track actions.
• Assist with COO error investigation and corrective actions.
• Handle transaction reporting monitoring and MI production.
• Oversee user access reviews for COO and external custodial platforms.
• Monitor and maintain the COO RCSA.

Job Description

What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join us as an Operations Executive - COO & CASS Oversight in Glasgow on a 12 month FTC.

This is a varied role, offering a really good overview of Operations and exposure to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

As an Operations Executive - COO & CASS oversight, your responsibilities will include among others

• COO error tracking - ensuring all actions are completed in a timely manner and the risk event system is updated appropriately with any profit / loss information
• Assist in the coordination of audits (both internal and external - eg. AAF, IT) and the tracking of associated actions
• Assist with COO error investigation, COO complaint investigation and tracking of any actions to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Assist with transaction reporting monitoring, operational losses allocation and reconciliation and production of COO error and cost centre postings MI
• Assist with user access reviews, ensuring all colleagues across COO have an appropriate level of access to internal systems as well as the external custodial platforms.
• Monitoring and maintenance of the COO Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Demonstrable interest in financial services
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic level Word and intermediate level Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences
• Demonstrate ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner and solve problems quickly with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to organise workloads effectively and meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to team priorities
• Responding to queries from both internal and external parties in a timely manner and providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally

Desired

• Prior CASS experience is desirable but not essential
• Experience gained within a financial services institution especially in Operations is advantageous but not essential
• Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate desirable but not essential
