Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading power generation specialist to recruit an Operations Engineer focused on diesel and gas engines, based around Dorking in Surrey. The role offers attractive overtime rates, industry-leading training, and opportunities for long-term progression.

You will maintain gas and diesel engine installations, diagnose faults, optimise performance, and work closely with customers to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with gas/diesel engines in a field service or maintenance role.
• Knowledge of diagnostic and repair techniques for engines and auxiliaries.
• Able to work in Dorking and surrounding areas with a driving licence.

Are you an Operations Engineer with a background working on diesel or gas engines looking to join a market-leading power generation specialist, where you'll receive attractive overtime rates, industry-leading training, and work on critical energy infrastructure across Dorking and the surrounding area?

This is an opportunity to join a leading international power generation specialist established in 1985. With over 200 employees, the business designs, manufactures, installs and maintains CHP, gas engine, biogas, landfill gas and battery storage systems that help industrial and public sector clients reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency.

In this role, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gas and diesel engine installations across Dorking and the surrounding area. You'll diagnose and implement reactive maintenance, optimise operational processes, and work closely with customers to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.

This role would suit an Operations Engineer with experience on diesel engines, gas engines or similar equipment, looking to join a well-established business offering excellent training, overtime and long-term career progression.

The Role:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on gas and diesel engines

The Person:

• Level 2+ engineering qualification (ONC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)


• Strong knowledge of gas/diesel engines


• Full UK Driving Licence


• Happy to work on a 24-hour callout rota
