Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group in Royston invites an early-career Operations Engineer to join a growing, technology-focused business. You'll work hands-on across equipment, installations, troubleshooting and improvements, building on a recent engineering degree or practical experience.

This Operations Engineer opportunity in Royston is ideal for someone looking to build on their technical knowledge in a varied, hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to develop. This role would suit someone who has recently completed an engineering degree and gained some initial commercial experience, or someone with equivalent skills and experience.

We’re looking for an Operations Engineer in Royston to join a growing, technology-focused business. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to broaden their experience, work across different areas of the business and help improve the performance and reliability of specialist equipment.

You’ll be involved in a mix of practical engineering, technical problem-solving and project support, working alongside experienced colleagues to help keep operations running smoothly across customer sites.

The Role

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering foundation who is keen to develop their skills and take on more responsibility.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Some post-graduate industry experience in an engineering, technical or operational environment.
• A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem-solving.
• Good analytical skills and an interest in understanding how equipment works.
• The ability to communicate effectively and work with different teams.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and an interest in continuous improvement.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

Experience in a specific industry isn’t essential. We’re interested in engineers from a range of backgrounds who want to broaden their technical experience and develop within a growing business.
