Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking an ambitious individual to develop into an Operations Manager within a growing technology business. The role offers progression as the company expands across the UK and internationally, with increasing responsibilities in operations.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in engineering or related field, some hands-on ops experience, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Travel to customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent experience in engineering, operations or a related technical discipline.
• Some experience in operations, maintenance, project coordination or a hands-on technical environment.
• A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A willingness to get hands-on when required and learn how equipment works.
• An interest in technology, engineering or operational improvement.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the maintenance and reliability of equipment across customer sites.
• Coordinating reactive and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment uptime.
• Helping plan and deliver new site installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Supporting the implementation of equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Monitoring operational costs and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Investigating equipment issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Working closely with engineering, production, purchasing and commercial teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
