Job summary

Great Bear, part of Culina Group, seeks an Operations Controller in Deeside to support the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The role is full-time with 4 on 4 off days, 7am-7pm, and a salary of £27,555 per annum plus a £2,000 shift allowance.

You will manage outbound schedules, issue instructions, ensure accurate paperwork, and be the first point of contact for drivers, collaborating with Shift Managers to maintain schedule integrity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar fast-paced role.
• Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.
• PC literate in Word, Excel and Outlook with high level of attention to detail.
• Must be a team player who is capable of working on your own initiative.
• Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.
• Experience and good working knowledge of Autostore and RF kit.
• Strong communication skills with courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third party hauliers.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.
• Issuing instructions to designated staff to maintain a smooth flow of inbound and outbound work.
• Controlling paperwork for outbound vehicles, ensuring 100% accuracy.
• Being the initial point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.
• Communicating issues to Shift Managers in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the schedule.
• Participating as an active member of the operations team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus.
• Maintaining good communication with transport providers to ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.
• Producing a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues, reminders and current state of play.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join our team in Deeside on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £27,555 per annum, plus £2,000 shift allowance.
