Job summary

Culina Group Limited’s Great Bear site in Lutterworth is hiring an Operations Controller on a full-time permanent basis. You will support day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring inbound receipts and outbound loads run efficiently.

Salary is £29,725 per annum with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6pm–6am). The role involves coordinating outbound schedules, issuing on-site instructions, and maintaining accurate paperwork and driver communications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar fast-paced role.
• Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and resources.
• PC literate in Word, Excel and Outlook with high attention to detail.
• Team player capable of using own initiative.
• Knowledge of on-site systems.
• Experience with Autostore and RF kit.
• Strong communication and professional attitude towards customers and hauliers.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently managing outbound schedule to meet collection and delivery times.
• Issuing instructions to staff to maintain smooth flow of inbound/outbound work.
• Control paperwork for outbound vehicles with 100% accuracy.
• Be the initial point of contact for drivers on site.
• Communicate issues to Shift Managers promptly to minimise disruption.
• Participate as active member of operations team and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Maintain communication with transport providers to avoid late collections/deliveries.
• Produce thorough handover for next shift with issues and state of play.

Job Description

Our Lutterworth site have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Salary: £29,725 per annum.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am.

As the Operations Controller, you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads are run efficiently.

Responsibilities of the Operations Controller include

• Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.


• Issuing instructions to designated staff to maintain a smooth flow of inbound and outbound work.


• Controlling paperwork for outbound vehicles, ensuring 100% accuracy.


• Being the initial point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.


• Communicating issues to Shift Managers in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the schedule.


• Participating as an active member of the operations team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus.


• Maintaining good communication with transport providers to ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.


• Producing a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues, reminders and current state of play.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar fast-paced role.


• Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.


• PC literate in Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.


• Must be a team player who is capable of working on your own initiative.


• Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.


• Experience and good working knowledge of Autostore and RF kit.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate an courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third party hauliers.


• Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.
